Inviting the Heart

Creation

In July 2004, Gay Kalember began to write the first of what promises to be many books on the truths revealed to her by Baharah. Her first book, Inviting the Heart introduces the new form, the Heart and the Mind, through which truth can be felt and understood. Gay finished the book in May 2006, completed editing in December 2007, and submitted it for publication in Februaray 2008.

Synopsis

In September 2003, an ascended master from the pristine realm of the One came to give Gay Kalember an extraordinary invitation. He came into the Earth realm through the channel Adrianna, Gay’s best friend. He was the teacher that Gay had long sought and he came to guide her for the rest of her life. His purpose was to entrust her with a new form for feeling and understanding truth that would simplify the great complexities and mysteries of Earth and the human experience. He offered navigational tools that create peace, freedom, and healing for the individual and the collective. He knew Gay had both the capacity to embrace this new form and the ability to teach others how to do the same. Her teacher’s name is Baharah and he called the new form The Heart and the Mind.  

Inviting the Heart chronicles the first two-years of Gay’s unusual spiritual expedition. Written as a true-life adventure, it opens with the arrival of her ethereal teacher and then takes the reader through myriad experiences in faraway lands, both terrestrial and celestial. The book illustrates how, through the natural unfoldment of her life, Gay came to understand the teachings of The Heart and The Mind and the truths and laws therein.  They were given in accordance with her readiness in moments of worry, confusion, and distress so that she might have greater comfort. Her story demonstrates how throughout her travels and in everyday occurrences, she explored, felt, experienced, integrated, and implemented Baharah’s new form of understanding until it became the very breath of her existence. Through her deep understanding of The Heart and the Mind form, Gay slowly began to leave her adaptive personality and the illusionary realm of non-truth from which it was created. Over time, she entered more fully into the realm of the Heart. In this chosen reality, she regained full remembrance of her divine self within the human experience, and came into the fulfillment of her life’s purpose.  Her transformation took her from all that was not real, into all that was real, allowing her to become a limitless expression of love on Earth.

In its simplicity, Inviting the Heart is a personal story about a quest for truth. Like all thrilling adventures, it includes the war between good and evil, journeys to faraway lands, and mysteries revealed. And in the end, the heroine emerges triumphant, not by sacrificing her life for others, but by saving her own, and in so doing, changing the course of the world.

Chapter Summaries

Section One: Caterpillar

The first of 6 chapters in this section begins the story in the summer of 2003 when I discover a local clairvoyant offering psychic classes in the back of a mystical bookstore. It marks the opening of a journey that will take me from ignorance to truth, from caterpillar to butterfly. The first chapter is a brief history of my religious upbringing, quest for spiritual knowledge, formal education, professional life as a psychotherapist, and my relationship to the ethereal world and best friend Adrianna. It lays the foundation of credibility for the extraordinary events that began in September of that year. The second chapter describes a series of events that create an ethereal portal into a new world, and my choice to enter it. This is followed by a second phenomenon that facilitates the long-awaited entrance of my divine teacher, Ascended Master Baharah, and his unearthly invitation to guide me for the rest of my life. With my acceptance comes an unprecedented ascension into a higher realm of consciousness.

The final chapter introduces my teacher’s gift to the world, a new form through which truth can be felt and understood, called “The Heart and the Mind.” It describes two systems through which reality can be created on Earth, the thinking world of the Mind (which is non truth), and the feeling world of the Heart (which is truth and love). It introduces the idea of a war between these two systems and the ending of that war when one world surrenders to the other.

Section Two: Remembering

The following story extends over 17 chapters and deals exclusively with events that take place during a trip Adrianna and I take to Peru immediately following my teacher’s entrance. It is a journey into remembrance—of past lives, the authentic self, the One, and the true story of Earth. As the need for greater understanding naturally occurs in response to difficult circumstances during the trip, divine teachings are presented, beginning with the truth: Within Me All Things Can Be Made Right. This teaching comes in response to a serious emergency, one that could end in fatality, suffered by my horse Mimi on the first day of the vacation. Thus my role as Baharah’s student begins as he guides me through the crisis and a myriad of other difficult, exalted, and mystical experiences that transpire in the course of our travels. These events summon subsequent lessons from Baharah, including the difference between truth and variables, and the real nature of worry and deprivation. As we travel in Peru from Cusco to Aguas Caliente to Pisac and back, our journey is depicted from a geographical and interpersonal perspective.

After arriving in Aguas Caliente, we satisfy the intention for our trip, the highly anticipated expedition to Machu Picchu. I describe our first exposure to the sacred city, including specific instructions from Baharah that take me into a profound experience within the One, changing my definition of self and my life forever. That same night our teacher discloses an astonishing revelation regarding the true story of Earth, which explains its origins, purpose for existence, and the reason for reincarnation. Our travels then lead us through the Sacred Valley accompanied by a shaman, which spawns a series of unique and powerful experiences with local Peruvians, and a sacred ceremony in an Incan water temple. Our longing to return to Machu Picchu inspires a spontaneous change of plans, taking us into non-itinerary travel. Upon our return to the ruins, we uncover ancient memories relating to our past lives in the city, and experience strange encounters with a groundskeeper. At the end of our trip, I suffer an existential crisis that threatens to annihilate my spiritual foundation and relationship with Baharah. The section closes with the unexpected twist my relationship takes with Adrianna on the last day of the trip.

Section Three: Cocoon

The first of 14 chapters begins with a story about a miracle and a heavenly message, in this case given by a stranger in the Texas airport on our way home from Peru. Ignoring the angelic emissary’s assurance of peace regarding my new relationship with Adrianna, I return home and quickly move into an internal secret war as I anticipate the unfoldment of an unexpected life. Subsequent chapters convey the process of revealing my news to family and friends and their diverse reactions. Baharah introduces the butterfly metaphor to illuminate the journey I am on, seeing it as a metamorphosis from one world to another. He places me within the cocoon stage, a time in which I go within to know myself. He then speaks of my two children, the nature of their spirits, their purpose and goals on Earth, and their unique relationship to one another. My focus then becomes leaving the Mind’s world, one step at a time. With Baharah’s guidance, I explore a deeper understanding of the two systems, the Heart and the Mind, and their inevitable evolutionary alignment. I examine my adaptive personality and the process of leaving it through the study of its two major influential patterns and their manifestations.

The next significant occurrence comes in the ninth chapter, which the unexpected introduction of our second teacher, Ascended Master Andua, his purpose for coming, and his professional collaboration with Adrianna. Andua’s longing to help others remember who they really are inspires the creation of my first group of students, and debuts Baharah’s teachings and Andua’s guidance to others. Parallel to my studies regarding the formation and elimination of my personality is Adrianna’s exploration of the true nature of her familial relationships. This inspires new teachings from Baharah who introduces a new truth called “Nothing of Value Costs You Anything” as a way of bringing us both comfort while we navigate through deeply rooted Mind constructs. He then discusses historical forms, one of them being family values, through which truth was once given to Earth. This leads to a fascinating examination of the human family from a spiritual perspective regarding design and purpose, and a study of the contamination of family roles and values by the Mind’s system. We come to understand Adrianna’s biological family from this new viewpoint, bringing clarity and a new direction. The 14th chapter looks at the effortless creation of abundance in our lives, which had manifested in a copious Christmas, a paid trip to Thailand in March, and the joining of our two homes into one.

Section Four: Metamorphosis

This section’s eight chapters deal with the events that take place during my trip with Adrianna to Thailand four months after Peru. The purpose of the trip to Peru was to remember my real self. The purpose of the trip to Thailand was to deepen into that self. The beginning chapters describe the resort where we stay and Baharah’s suggested spiritual itinerary for the trip, which facilitates an unexpected spiritual transformation. Thailand quickly becomes a vacation of few excursions, for the journey is primarily within. Succeeding chapters describe the unfoldment of Baharah’s masterful guidance, which include expansive teachings on what he refers to as the art of Rightness, Letting Go of Doing-Consumption Energy, Going Nowhere to Get Everywhere, The Battle Within, and Readiness. These teachings take me deeper into the final study and understanding of compassion, and into a longer look at my non-acceptance of imperfection in self and others.

His teachings remain fluid and steady throughout the trip. Each one is connected to the other in an artful orchestration designed to create a readiness for the acceptance of his second formal invitation to me—to enter a new world. Just before this monumental session, Andua offers an energetic clearing, a process by which old and unutilized energy is removed from the body creating space for divine essence to enter. His gift is the veiled precursor for a powerful and unforgettable session with Baharah in which he announces the ending of a lifelong war within me. It is the final ingredient for the completion of my metamorphosis, and the butterfly’s release into a world of comfort and peace.

Section Five: Butterfly

The 12 chapters in this section are primarily focused on the understanding and expulsion of my adaptive personality (my Mind) from within my new world of freedom, in order to create a Mind-Heart-Body alignment. It begins with a profound teaching of how to correct the past by bringing the present into it, and then examines the natural outcome of this exploration, which is the evidence of the real self throughout one’s lifetime, and a new reference of that self as divine rather than human. The topic of correcting the past inspires an inimitable study of healing and forgiveness, investigating it from a psychological and spiritual perspective. Subsequent chapters illuminate the process of leaving one’s identification with the personality, one increment at a time, using human stories as examples.

The second half of this section begins with an unusual human experience in which I have a literal encounter with my ethereal self. This grounds me for what will prove to be a difficult and powerful study of my human emotions in relationship to a life of deprivation in the areas of caretaking and money. As I gain greater understanding of these variables and release old feelings, I begin to feel a unique state of stillness within me, a state of non doing. Baharah explains it as the ending of contrast in order to know myself, which is the result of my ability to apply what I know until it becomes absolute. The last two chapters include a trip to Disneyland, the first lessons on exponential influences, and my acquisition of Tigger, the orange-striped representative of the world of imagination and creation. The section ends with a return to Sea Ranch, where I experience the final drop of understanding regarding my relationship to money, creation, and limited thinking. Unbeknownst to me, it is the final drop of knowledge that aligns my Mind with my Heart and my Body.

Section Six: Alignment

Out of nine chapters, the first two describe experiences that hold the evidence of my Mind’s alignment with my Heart, which remains undiscovered by me until Baharah’s exposure. Shortly after my alignment, there is an occurrence between Adrianna and me in which a residual aspect of my Mind expresses itself. With Baharah’s guidance, the process of understanding residuals takes me deeper into the study of Readiness. The next four chapters outline specific teachings given by both teachers during my first camping trip with Adrianna. The first lesson focuses on maintaining internal peace in the face of disturbing external stimuli. As we cohabit with other campers, we are given ample opportunities to deepen into and practice our newly acquired tools. We then revisit the subject of exponential influences inspired by an eloquent allegory given by Andua during a walk in the redwoods, reminding us that we are connected to all things. Tigger becomes the next topic of conversation, symbolizing the world of imagination and creation.

Lessons are given that reveal the nature of wondering, dreaming, and imagining as the gateway to unlimited space, which is the world of creation and truth. Next described are the immediate manifestations stemming from the practice of creating from imagination. The trip comes full circle with a final opportunity to experience internal peace while witnessing an abusive exchange between a father and his child in the campground. This experience exemplifies the truth that one must go toward one’s discomfort to find one’s comfort, and the power of prayer. The last chapter in this section describes the final stage of my alignment, which is the uniting of my Body with my Mind and Spirit, thus completing my attunement to one world.

Section Seven: Deepening

This section has 14 chapters whose common thread is the deepening into relationships both ethereal and human. It begins with Baharah’s suggestion to begin writing the first book, and then flows into a study of spiritual kinships and divine affiliations. My dialogues with him on these subjects lead us into further exploration of our unique relationship in both worlds. Our conversations on specific esoteric themes culminate in an unusual physical occurrence between us, thus deepening our intimacy. This inspires me to expand my relationship with Andua, which creates a richer understanding of both teachers’ unique qualities and spiritual interests. Andua and Baharah then teach me about expanding the self through the absorption of others. The exploration of Heaven and Earth continues with lessons on the true nature of the universe and the power of wonder. Using the variables of two primary relationships, Baharah takes me further into the understanding of the personality and the spirit, and then shortly after offers me his third formal invitation. This invitation involves the readiness to affect a larger number of people, the ultimate goal for which I came to Earth.

The second half of this section focuses on my surprise marriage to Adrianna and the first anniversary with my teachers. It begins with a perfect day in which I experience the tangible fruition of my year with Baharah. The section ends with three chapters that detail the wedding and anniversary preparations and ceremonies, and reveal a sacred gift of knowledge from Baharah. A third ascended master is introduced during the wedding ceremony who is Baharah and Andua’s teacher within the pristine realm of the One.

Section Eight: Mastery

The 15 chapters in this section are rich in dialogue between all three of my teachers. It begins with the announcement of my marriage to family and friends, which promotes a negative reaction from Anne, a childhood friend. Her escalating anger leads me to an encounter in which I experience myself in an expanded state of grace. This incident marks my ability to maintain my “largeness” regardless of external circumstances. Baharah defines the moment as the wearing of a king’s robe, a symbol of great power and knowledge. Subsequent chapters reveal my struggle to understand the robe from many perspectives, rendering it both extraordinary and ordinary. By the ninth chapter in this section, the integration process solidifies, taking me into a new understanding of my responsibility and purpose. During the robe’s unfoldment, Baharah reveals a secret of large proportions.

The following chapter’s center on the end of my relationship with Anne and the new teachings this inspires. Baharah uses this variable to illuminate how there are only a few truths necessary to bring all of the Mind’s thoughts into comfort, the power of God’s presence, and how pain is instrumental in helping others remember who they really are. As the year ends, I reflect upon the gifts given to me, my role as a student, and my progression from apprenticeship to mastery. The beginning of the New Year brings with it a surprise visit from Baharah’s teacher asking me to escalate the writing of the book and leaving me with a powerful parting gift. Andua then blesses the manuscript and speaks of the power it has to change the world through exponential influence. In the final chapter, I am visited once again by Baharah’s teacher who comes with an assignment, which if completed successfully, will change my life forever.

Section Nine: Exodus

The final ten chapters describe events that take place in Nicaragua at a resort called Morgan’s Rock. The first chapter speaks of my ability to have sustained the gift given to me by Baharah’s teacher, which is a new level of strength and peace within. Painting a brief portrait of the resort, I then describe an unusual phenomenon that occurs during a morning walk on the beach. In a shocking session with Baharah, he informs me that I am experiencing an exodus. He tells me that I am leaving the world of illusion and imperfection forever, the world from which my adaptive personality was created. After a short period of time, an assignment from Baharah emerges, asking me to feel all that I have done in one and a half years, and all that I have left behind. He teaches me how to create a space between my past and the present moment so that I remain within the Heart’s world during my review. Andua then enters to offer his gift of the “faucet metaphor,” which depicts the ending of my personality and the last drop of my Mind. Time is then spent in contemplation of the assignment, and in the understanding of what I have accomplished.

During my transformation, my physical body experiences new sensations requiring clarification and assistance from Andua. Feelings emerge that reflect my non-understanding of how to return to “their” world without losing mine, prompting another session with Baharah regarding residual energies. The eighth chapter includes a visit from Baharah’s teacher and a comprehensive understanding of how the exodus was accomplished. I then enter into an exploration of time and timelessness, resulting in a deeper understanding of their function on Earth. The book finds its conclusion shortly after a memorable session with Baharah, who informs me that for all practical purposes my work on Earth is done. I leave Morgan’s Rock with a deep understanding of the process that took me from caterpillar to butterfly, and of the gift of divine guidance that enabled its successful outcome. Baharah’s promise had come true. I would now live my life in absolute comfort and freedom.

I have a miraculous story to tell. I have been given a message from the heavens that I would like to share with you. It is deeply personal and open to anyone who wishes to embrace it. The message was given during the course of a journey that took me from understanding what was not real to living only in what is real. It began for me on September 25, 2003, when an ascended master from the pristine realm of the One, came to give me an invitation. He came through my best friend, Adrianna, a pure channel who enables their world to enter ours. The master’s name is Baharah, and he invited me to have a personal relationship with him for the rest of my life. Without hesitation, I accepted the invitation, for I had been looking for my spiritual teacher since childhood. Thus began an extraordinary relationship between Heaven and Earth. 

From Section Two: Remembering

Baharah: If you are deprived of love on the outside then you do not have to deprive yourself of love on the inside. When you learn to not deprive yourself of love and abundance on the inside, you will have love and abundance on the outside. When this happens, you no longer need it from the outside when it comes; it is simply your joy to have it. The mind creates deprivation, never the heart. It is within the heart that all things can be made right. When the heart makes things right, when the heart feels right, you have peace of mind.

From Section Six: Alignment

I realize that the ability to maintain internal peace regardless of external conditions was the ingredient for living in comfort for the rest of my life.

From Section Seven: Deepening

As I expanded my ability to imagine greatness, greater things were given to me. Limitations were always a mechanism of the mind and miracles were always waiting to be made manifest within the abundant realm of the heart.

From Section Eight: Exodus

Baharah: The ability to remain in the moment has to do with the degree to which you are willing to leave yourself.

I could feel how easy it was to let go of that which was not real once given the truth to slip into. It was like wearing a tight pair of shoes all my life because they were all I had. When given a perfectly fitting pair, what was left to consider? It was not hard to leave discomfort for comfort when you could feel the truth.

In its simplicity it was a personal story about an unimaginable quest of the heart. Like all good adventures it would include the war between good and evil, journeys to faraway lands, and mysterious worlds of limitless power and creation. And in the end the heroine would be triumphant, not by sacrificing her life for others, but by saving her own, and in doing so change the course of the world forever.

I knew that all things were within me, for I was the absolute expression of God. When I was within my largeness, I was with my teachers, I was in the moment, I was in the Knowing that all things were right, I was in comfort, I was in the timeless limitless space of my new pristine realm, and I was still on earth. Now there was only one intention, and that was to remain within the world that was my birthright. I had found the key to the gates of heaven, opened the door and stepped inside. The key was me, and until I knew this, I could not find my way home.

Future Publications

Gay will begin writing her second book in January 2008. It will be an elaboration on The Heart and The Mind form. It offers a deeper study of its divine principles and their applications. This book will be a literary collaboration with her teachers, Baharah and Andua.

Gay envisions her third book as an adjunct to the second, illustrating the usage of the truths and laws in everyday life, common human conundrums, and relationships.
